I couldn't agree more with this statement. It highlights the drastic importance of education in ensuring the future of our world. We need to empower future generations with knowledge and foster their intelligence JUST as much as we need to care for them when they're sick. Everyone knows prevention is better than cure, and as a society, we have an obligation to IMMUNIZE AGAINST IGNORANCE.
With the economic system the way it is in the US, maybe we could all take a little something from this lesson and- fingers crossed- avoid another GFC.
